Out by about 10 am after breakfast, a swim by S and a bike ride with garbage bag searching for place to put it; eventually found the innovative robo trash compactor system after 30 minute sleuth. Whipped it from pothole to Syringa/Lowell/Selway River camp not far from Lewiston Idaho where we lunched at the Reuben Cafe which had a lot of good ol mom and pop quality. Also dropped in at the Blue Lantern coffee shop which occupied a stunning bit of dignified old downtown architecture. Bashed on for a while past Lewiston to first camp on the Selway and took a fine swim. Slight altercation with local on quad about my passing procedure vis-à-vis he and his girlfriend ending with his, “Welcome to Idaho”; I think sarcastically. Dinner of rice noodle salad with some pieces of deep fried chicken fillet from Dan’s Market in the erzats Bavarian town. Pretty tangy but lovely with peppers, peanuts, jalapeños, peanuts and snap peas. Secured solar system monitor panel. Inverter back to life.
